The goal of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew (or BOSA) is to inspire, empower, and equip men to fulfill the Great Commission. We address our mission by practicing disciplines of daily prayer, regular scripture study, and service to others. Our BOSA chapter meets on second Sundays at 8:30 a.m. We hope you’ll join us on October 11. Contact David Stokes with questions at 502-523-6396 or by email using the button below.

Help Share God’s Love & Cook for Abundant Life’s Community Dinner!

Drop off by Sunday, October 11

Many neighbors are struggling with grocery prices, and one simple way we can help is by cooking for Abundant Life’s weekly dinners, where hospitality, fellowship, and good food abound. St. Andrew’s next turn is October 13, and you’re invited to provide protein packed entrees and veggie sides. Here’s how:

  • Use a disposable 9x13 pan, label it with your name and the name of the dish, and freeze it at home.
  • Place your dinner donation in the church Butler’s Pantry freezer by Sunday morning, October 11.
  • Be sure to sign up using the sign up link below!

Thank you for being part of this ministry. Questions? Contact Lisa Lewis using the button below.

Giving Pledge Campaign for 2027

Our Giving Pledge Campaign Begins October 18

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy

that will be for all people.  Luke 2:10

Our annual Giving Campaign for 2027 kicks off on Sunday, October 18. This year’s stewardship theme is Tell Me Something Good: Grounded in Grace and Gratitude. The Good News of God in Jesus Christ is at the heart of our life together at St. Andrew’s. We have been fundamentally shaped by God’s grace, and it is grace that serves as the foundation for both our gratitude and our generosity.

Our life together thrives because of your faithful support of St. Andrew’s. The annual giving campaign, which runs from October 18 to November 1, focuses on the financial support needed to sustain and grow the church. As you prayerfully consider your pledge this year, know that every gift is appreciated. Each gift matters. May we give generously and joyfully so that St. Andrew’s continues to grow in Christ’s grace, sharing God’s Good News and love.

Pledge commitment packets will be available for you to pick up before and after worship on Sunday, October 18. Packets that are not picked up will be mailed the following week. Our ingathering will be November 1, when we will celebrate after worship with a festive reception.

Looking to November

All Saints’ with Special Remembrance for Those Who Have Died in the Last Year

Sunday, November 1

Send Names by October 23

On All Saints’ Sunday we remember the faithful departed whom we have loved and see no longer. The worship bulletin on November 1 will include the names of those who have died in the year that has passed since our last All Saints’ remembrance in November 2025. A list has been kept in the office, and we also invite you to email the office with names of those who have died in the past year. Send names to Susan by Friday, October 23. During our service we will also have an opportunity to remember all our saints in light.

Roof Replacement & Steeple Improvements

Roof Work Continues through the Fall

Please Use Caution

Restoration work on the roof continues this week. Please avoid the work areas which will be active each weekday.

Your Vestry has worked hard to negotiate many considerations and hurdles in the planning of this project. Because the work is fully covered in our insurance claim for hail damage from a major storm in 2025, we are able to complete these essential repairs without touching our operating budget. If you would like to learn more, please contact your Senior Warden, Tim Fleming, or any Vestry member. Work is expected to continue for several months for the full project. In the meantime, we can enjoy the results that already are starting to take shape.

We need your help collecting cards! If you have a connection to a business, please consider asking them to donate a gift card of any value. We also need volunteers to contact stores who have donated before (they're very receptive!). Our goal is 100 cards on the Giving Tree, where shoppers pay $20 to receive at least $25 in gift cards donated by local restaurants, services, stores, and other businesses.

Contact: Liz Nash by email or at 336-991-4122

Wine Pull Donations

For each cork purchased, festivalgoers choose one bottle of wine, worth anywhere from $15 to $70. You can help by donating one or more bottles of red, white, or sparkling wine, each with a minimum value of $15. Not sure what to choose? Let the staff at Bestway on Walker Avenue help you. Leave donations in the designated box by the Office. Our goal is to sell at least 150 bottles this year.
