Hi,
As we've been busy adapting to a new way of working and living, all of us at Jainchill & Beckert are witnessing something remarkable happening in the community. Amid all the distancing in this time of COVID-19, people are coming together and giving back like we have never seen before.
The obvious heroes are those on the front lines, and we are full of gratitude for their bravery and selfless work. Then there are all the less obvious heroes.
Local restaurants have joined together, and through financial support from residents, they've created a #FeedTheHeroes plan to bring meals to health care workers and others on the front lines. Neighbors are sewing and donating masks. There have been food drives and donations made to food pantries (which, sadly, are receiving an unprecedented number of requests for support from families and individuals in need). There was a parade for the workers at UConn Hospital, and there's a “Hometown Rally” in Farmington on Friday evenings. There have been drive-through birthday celebrations, and principals are delivering laptops to make sure no student is left behind.
Kindness rocks are flooding the Farmington River Trail... and chalk art is everywhere. This “Be Kind” photo was taken by a friend on a recent sunny day when she was out walking the trail.
These are just some of the stories how neighbors are helping neighbors, a philosophy we’ve been trying to live by since we started the firm 10 years ago.
One way we are giving back is by offering free legal consultations to anyone in the community. We invite you, and anyone you know in need of legal services, to schedule a complementary consultation with us today, to be conducted over the phone or through Zoom.
