Of course your plans can change - but having a plan of where you are going is going to help you hire with intention.
Mistake #2 Choosing Skills over Values
Hear me out.
I'm not telling you NOT to hire someone who has skills (please, hire a YouTube manager that has experience with YouTube!).
What I'm saying here is that if you can find someone who understands and BELIEVES in your company's core mission and values, you have hit the JACKPOT.
Your company's core values dictate how you treat your customers and how your business runs on a day to day basis.
Have you created your company's core values yet?
Mistake #3 Trying to Hire a Savior
I've seen this time and time again. You want to grow your business - so you think, "I need to be running Facebook ads". Two months later you've basically lit $5,000 on fire and your business has nothing to show for it.
That's because if you are running ads to a bad offer or a sales page that doesn't convert, it won't make a dent in your business.
Hiring a freelancer should be like pouring fuel on the fire you've already started.
Streamline your efforts. Choose one or two social media focuses. Choose one or two products to zero in on. Make them EPIC. Do them WELL. And then find a perfect fit freelancer to set ablaze the fire you've already started.
