Suggestions for using red
๐One skein hats knit up fast and are great for kids because the color red is visible from way down the street. Our little Topknot Hat, available over on Ravelry, uses DK weight and goes really fast.
๐Use an Addi Swing Size H crochet hook, worsted weight yarn, and half double crochet for a scarf that suits either men or women. Here's a $3 Ravelry download pattern with directions and links to YouTube helps. Red stitches, with that lovely nubby texture of crochet, would look great with a navy blue or gray or a black jacket.
๐Start a lap robe or an afghan. Work on it this winter and through the colder months. By next Christmas, you'll have an accent that will spark your sofa and bring great RED joy to the holidays. We can customize our One Bag Baby Blanket Project with whatever Simpliworsted red color you would like. Send us an email and let's talk!
๐Plan a red cardigan, like the Felix Cardigan. Our blog post gives the stats for knitting this easy, comfortable cardigan.
๐Not sure if red is right? Print up your pattern photo in black and white, grab some colored pencils and play with color. You'll get a better idea of what you want to knit or crochet when you see it in a color like RED.
