The Composer in Residence Classroom Grant continues to grow in in numbers and vision. What started with 16 students as a pilot three years ago, increased to 60 students last year, and has expanded this year to 250 secondary school students from PCHS, TMJH, and EHMS. Classroom and Express Grants is one of PCEF's 8 Signature Initiatives.

"I am so grateful for the monetary support provided by the PCEF. These funds enable us to compete at both the local and national levels. Recently, the team traveled to Arizona to compete nationally. Because of the grant, all students who wanted to attend were able to. We are especially proud of the newest members of our team - the students from TMJH."

PCEF donors made $250,000 in funding for 42 Classroom Grants possible for the 2023/24 school year, helping programs like PCHS Speech and Debate support coaching instruction and travel to competitions, ensuring a successful season. Classroom and Express Grants is one of PCEF's 8 Signature Initiatives.

🎓 PCEF Welcomes Two Team Members to Bright Futures

Tina Goette takes the helm as Bright Futures Program Director and Valeria Sandoval has already hit the ground running as the new College Program Manager. Tina and Valeria’s expertise will be invaluable to the students in Bright Futures, one of PCEF’s 8 Signature Initiatives. 

“Bright Futures has generational impact. Being a part of this program can potentially change someone’s history - not only their history but their children’s history. And that ripples out to our community and our society," Goette told us.

"I always wanted to work somewhere where I felt I was making a difference," Sandoval said, noting how her new role is both rewarding and fulfilling.
