To Email or Pick Up the Phone? Balancing High Tech with High Touch
As women business owners, we’re habitually dreaming big, setting goals, working to power those goals and regularly assessing wins and areas for adjustment. And there’s nothing like the end of a year to take stock in a big way—a way that not only makes us feel proud of how far we’ve come, but also reignites our excitement, creativity and drive for what lies ahead in the new year.
How I Balance High Tech vs. High Touch
For me, I use technology to provide for moments of high touch. For example, as simple as it sounds, I block my Outlook calendar for one-on-one weekly breakfasts with business partners; utilize WebEx for monthly strategy webinars with clients.

At Merino Wealth we put a lot of thought into our touchpoints. Whether it’s our newsletter, a Facebook post, or meeting agenda-nothing is accidental. Next we rely on technology to get the job done. I like to say “we have systems on top of systems.”

Financial Advisor & President
At the Content Jam conference, the buzz was about emotional marketing (high touch) since 2010-2019 was all about automating everything (high tech). Certainly, marketing, PR and sales went high tech in the past decade.
