2026 WBENC National Conference

Offers Message of Impact and Legacy

From the first day to the last, the 2026 WBENC National Conference last week was memorable and uplifting.

Women-owned businesses, global corporations, and nonprofits gathered in Salt Lake City for educational sessions, B2B meetings, roundtables, brainstorming, inspiration and some fun in between.

It’s been one year since we lost WBENC President and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason, who passed away unexpectedly after the 2025 conference. She would have been proud of the team, including interim CEO Nedra Dickson, for introducing this 29th year of WBENC with a message of hope and strength.

During the opening session, Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder of ActOne Group, talked about the history of the organization as well as what lies ahead. “WBENC family, we are America’s finest. … We are where the legacy meets the future.” The full audience participated in singing the U.S. National Anthem, with a nod to the FIFA football tournament hosted by North America right now.

One of the highlights was Nedra's interview with Dawn Staley, head coach of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team. Dawn shared stories about her career, leadership style, and workplace strategies.
