"PHOTOBLOG" Newsletter contains a collection of images totally "unconnected", if not for the fact that they were all chosen because of their intrinsic meaning ( to me..., at least!) reflective of an idea, an imagined reality, a forgotten truth.
Photography as we know is mostly a concrete reproduction of a given moment in time, however the use of certain techniques, the available light and the choices of colors or their refusal can ultimately create a different story, seen or imagined.
This Kiddie Park, seen a while ago as I was visiting a small seaside Italian town, has always fascinated me, with its too brilliant, happy colors yet with the sad solitude emanating from a moment empty of children and all humanity, perhaps because of the inclement weather, or the time, or....who knows! It reminds me of a Fellini moment, almost absurd, yet real and tangible. Let's hope it is still running, giving some joy to those bambini!
