Solitary times...

Dear friends,

Welcome to my "PHOTOBLOG" Newsletter, a monthly publication which is being sent to clients and friends, to keep them updated on my current photographic interests, new works and future developments.

My goal is to format the Newsletter around a short series of images, which I will try to describe briefly, so that important or interesting details will be easily available to the viewer.

Most of the imagery displayed here will also be on view at " IMAGES" Photographic Art Gallery, located at 14406 Detroit Avenue in beautiful Downtown Lakewood, and I would be happy to extend to all an invitation to stop by sometime for a visit.

As always, I will appreciate your comments and suggestions pertaining to my work, and, should you enjoy these images, please feel free to share the"PHOTOBLOG" with friends and others as well; anyone interested in my work could be easily added to my distribution list by contacting me at

or  by visiting at

As time goes by, it is becoming clear that these challenging times are here to stay for a while, at long, we cannot tell but only guess and hope to be right! Solitary times have been difficult for many, but may be also a blessing in a way, since the "new" reality has given us an opportunity and the time to see things and places in a different light, as well as the necessity to re-evaluate so much in our lives in order to adjust and move on, somehow.
By nature I tend to seek tranquility and peaceful moments, perhaps as a reaction to my "stressful" life realities for so  many years; as I begun to plan this month blog, the choices of solitary, tranquil moments and places were indeed abundant as I searched my files, making the final choices at times even difficult!
I have enjoyed making these images over the years, and I am pleased to share them with you in the same spirit of tranquility and solitary happiness!
  Solitary times...
A  stunning sunset over our Lake, a frequent subject of my photography...then a semi-deserted beach on the Adriatic sea, before the arrival of the usually huge summer crowds. I loved the red rowboat on the sand: it is the rescue vessel (!!) should anyone be in serious trouble out in the NOT to push your luck, my friends!
 Solitary times...
Autumn in the Umbrian countryside, with a really soft morning fog slowly burning off...
below, Autumn soon arriving in Ohio with its glorious colors!
Solitary times...
A couple walking at night under the rain...above, the tiny chapel of a friend's castle in Tuscany, the site of a small wedding ceremony scheduled for the next day. Its simple beauty and profound sense of tradition touched me intensely.
Solitary times...
A "new day" on Lake Erie...I have printed this splendid image on canvas, and it is really wonderful to look at!
The quiet and plain beauty of the old coffee shop in Connecticut caught my eye at once!
The last image is of an empty Kiddie Park: classic Disney characters are still very popular with Italian "bambini"...

Solitary times...

A very quiet area at a usually very busy airport: these days things are so very different from the norm, and the empty rocker is a vivid reminder of our current struggles.
Below, an empty bench along the Rocky River in the Metro park, after last year first big snow fall.
The third image is of the small living room belonging to a young couple, filled with simple elegance.
Solitary times...

An early morning Spring here at home...

A solitary walk on a Florida beach filled with wild driftwood creations.

Solitary times...
A long mountain road early in the morning, after the rain: the perfect time to think and appreciate the beauty around us...

My current exhibit, titled " Re-visiting VENEZIA" remains on view at IMAGES Art Gallery...why not stop by for a SAFE personal visit someday soon? Feel free to call or e-mail me to set up a convenient time for you to come in.

As is the case with any other Art Gallery in town and everywhere else, we are trying to carry on with our mission of photographic creativity and of visual "stimulation" for art lovers, past clients and friends; in these new days of "virtual" exhibitions and encounters, we find it personally rather difficult, since nothing can take the place of a "live" art experience, where you could really appreciate and understand the meaning, the intricacies and the pleasures of an individual art creation, be it a painting, a print or a watercolor.

Be reassured that "IMAGES" Art Gallery has complied with all the current requirements and regulations in order to provide its visitors with a SAFE and enjoyable visual experience  during their stay here. A facial covering and a happy, interested disposition is all what is needed for your next visit...please get in touch and do come in whenever convenient!
As always, thanks to all for your support and encouragement,

be safe and stay "smart",
