It’s been over a decade since American Arborists opened our doors in Reno and we couldn't be more thankful to our customers for a decade of positive 5-star reviews! Since opening 12 years ago, we’ve dramatically upgraded the talent level of arborists we employ, the equipment we use, and our commitment to research-based tree care. So, we wanted a new logo that better reflected our commitment to modern, scientific tree care, innovation, and professionalism. Our re-brand shows a commitment to more investment in our employees too, including: education, certifications, uniforms and improvements to the tools they use. Our new logo fits our organization perfectly in that our mark, the A, is enveloping a leaf and a tree together. This reflects our commitment to plant healthcare (the leaf) as well as our unmatched expertise in larger more complex trimmings and removals (the tree). It’s a modern simplistic icon that evokes professionalism, innovation, and commitment to customer service.
This brand redesign isn’t just about the logo. It’s a re-commitment to the BEST in professionalism, cutting edge tools, techniques, and technology. We are committed to providing the same great service to residential customers, while adding cutting edge technology to help HOA communities save money with our SUDM plan.
So the next time we show up at your door with a new logo, don't worry, it's us! We have just evolved to serve your better.

Protecting Your Trees from Storm Damage
Large trees may seem indestructible but though they may withstand most things, hurricane-force winds, lightning, and floods brought about by non-stop rain can wreak havoc on them. From their root system up to their trunks and branches, extreme weather can permanently damage your trees, or even—in the case of lightning strikes—kill them outright!
However, there are plenty of ways that you can avoid tree storm damage from happening. Here are some of the most effective tips to successfully stormproof your trees.

Does your HOA have a Tree Management plan that makes sure your trees are safe? Your trees are a valuable asset to your community but could be dangerous if left unmonitored. Please pass on our number to your board members so we can protect your property and your investments by offering a FREE ESTIMATE for a tree care management plan.
What is SUDM?
SUDM is a means for an HOA community, park or business to track the maintenance of the urban forest based on a plan to improve the health and longevity of plants on the property while reducing the long-term costs associated with maintaining these financially beneficial assets. This proactive approach to forest management improves the overall quality of the trees by addressing problems before they are unmanageable. Common objectives may include safety, shade, aesthetics, and increasing property value. A sustainable urban forest should be free of hazards and maintain healthy clearance for all buildings, fences, walkways, and drives. We evaluate each of our SUDM clients’ forests annually.
Why SUDM is Important to Your Community?
It helps to improve the health and safety of an urban forest while lowering tree care and replacement costs, something a landscaper can’t and doesn’t do. As ISA Certified Arborists, we possess a deeper understanding of tree biology and soil science than that of your average landscaper. We are experts at recognizing and correcting environmental stresses whether they are caused by pH imbalances or macro and micro nutrient deficiencies. We recommend treatment solutions to ensure a healthy forest for years to come. Our comprehensive tree care approach has helped to significantly reduce annual tree care costs associated with preserving and extending the useful life off trees and shrubs for many of our commercial clients, including: University of Nevada, Lakeridge Shores, Somerset, Lakeridge Terrace, The Foothills at Wingfield Springs and Donner Creek Condominiums to name a few.
Our Goal is to be proactive so we can save you money, and keep you safe.
Our goal is in minimizing the negative impact of poorly planned previous plantings (trees currently too close to structures and/or walk-ways) and establishing a healthy, low maintenance tree-scape that can be sustained for several years to come. We can create a long or short-term personalized plan for your community which can include some or all of these professional services:
- Property listing & site map (tree inventory, evaluation & recommendations)
- All trees tagged and numbered (i.e. tags for species and tree ID number)
- Urban forest design including tree planting and removal
- Seasonal Emergency Maintenance Plan (discounted rate for SUDM clients)
- 24-hour priority emergency response
- Monthly monitoring of your trees
- Corrective pruning
- Structural clearance
- Pesticide diagnosis and treatment
- Root zone aeration/fertilization
- Drought mitigation services
- GIS Technology
- Full-color, poster-sized maps with corresponding inventories
Please Call our SUDM Sales Team at (775) 276-9980 to schedule a walk-through of your community or property. Thank you.

"We have
only
been working with American Arborists...in that time they have undertaken a massive tree trimming event. It went smoothly and the foreman kept our office informed every step of the way. They were on property as scheduled every day and even completed the job early . We would definitely work with them again.
