Greetings!
We were a bit overwhelmed by the response and crowds this weekend, but the early preorders gave us a huge advantage in dealing with both. All of us are stressed to high-heaven dealing with COVID19, procuring enough seafood, packing it for you to pick up on Friday, and managing the crowds that descend on us at opening time on Friday. In every response I send to you for Friday. I encourage you to wait until later in the day because your order has already been packed so no need to hurry. It appears that all Americans love a crowd and can't resist getting to the head of the line, particularly senior citizens.
We are doing all we can possibly do, but caution you that if you have an attitude, you best wait. I don't want my crews to catch your bad attitude. In other words, we are busting our arses.
Supply Notes
:
There is zero fresh shrimp being caught on the east coast until roe-shrimp begin in Georgia at any time. We will be offering the (PF) previously frozen NC shrimp we always have when fresh shrimp are unavailable.
The weather is supposed to be poor next week on our coast, and we're being advised that no boats will be leaving shore, so very little local fish. Hopefully, that will change.
Our precious, Fresh, sea scallops are being promised to us again, so I relay that promise to you. You have no idea how badly it hurt my heart to cancel one-helluva bunch of orders last week. Never have I ever had to "unsale" that many bucks.
I have added a
preliminary
seafood menu that is
subject
to change but will give you ideas of what we're hoping to have. I will be sending a
Trip Alert
on Tuesday as well as a
Shrimpnote
on Thursday. The
Shrimpnote
will have have the definitive menu with exact prices, however we can't know in advance of our secondary supplier's issues with their short-staff. Our primary dealer doesn't know what to expect on pricing, but we are honest brokers and will only use our standard markups on Thursday. There were only a few prices we had to raise.
We wish you many blessings and look forward to serving you.
In His Grip, I am
Landon
