Residential customers can now INSTANTLY* receive certain permits through Ventura Online Permit Services (OPS) for replacements of windows, water heaters, plumbing, roofing, and more!

• Step 1: Visit www.cityofventura.ca.gov/Permits 
• Step 2: Visit Ventura OPS and create a login
• Step 3: Select "Apply" and search for "Building Express" in the search bar

Therapy dog in training

Meet Hope, a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever and Cavadoodle mix who now serves as the comfort, therapy dog for the Ventura Fire Department!

Once Hope is fully trained, her functions include easing tension, lowering post incident stress, anxiety levels, and blood pressure, reducing feelings of loneliness, providing support to those impacted by traumatic events, and visiting other City departments and various community events for educational purposes.

Ongoing care for Hope will be covered by the Ventura Fire Foundation, a local non-profit. Learn more about Hope at www.VenturaCityFire.com
