Announcing the Special Honoree at Valley of Heart's Delight
Restore the Historic OSH Sign!
When Orchard Supply Hardware closed last fall, community members immediately and overwhelmingly expressed interest in preserving and finding a home for the large 1950s OSH neon sign which had been installed on San Carlos Street. Through the efforts of many, the sign was delivered to the History San José warehouse earlier this year.

The plan is to have the sign professionally restored by Arrow Sign of Hayward and installed adjacent the OSH boxcar in History Park. The location parallel to Senter Road will allow both those inside the Park and those outside driving by a great view!  We will be raising funds for this Fund-A-Need project at our Valley of Hearts Delight event on June 22. Please join us!

Poetry Center San José presents
Poetry Book Club with Darrell Dela Cruz

Let's relax and talk about poetry. This group focuses on the discussion of poetry collections or poetry magazines. Most of the selection will come from upcoming events sponsored by PCSJ, or any poetry events in the South Bay.

We'll be discussing our thoughts on the collection or magazines as a whole, and individual poems. Everyone is welcome to participate. Coffee, tea, and cookies will be available.

Bay Area Glass Institute welcomes visiting artist, Claire Kelly

The artist will offer classes, demonstrations, and an exhibition of her work.

My work examines the connections we have with animals and their larger relationship to our world and environment. The result is a series of fantastic microcosms that bring a consciousness to their decorative status.
