​​I chose to work at Kenosha Community Health Center because this clinic provides open access to health care for people of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. I know that working with patients who have limited access to health care can make a huge impact on their lives. It is gratifying to serve this population, witnessing the participation of many to make a positive difference in the community. KCHC has demonstrated that good care can be accomplished with passion and commitment.
KCHC BRINGS DENTAL CARE TO LOCAL SCHOOLS THROUGH SEAL-A-SMILE
Many children in the Kenosha area lack a dental home and access to dental care, including necessary prevention, hygiene, and oral health education services. The Seal-A-Smile program provides those needs as well as oral health assessments, dental sealants, and fluoride applications to teeth, from kindergarten through fifth grade – all at no cost to families.
KCHC IN THE COMMUNITY
We recognize collaborating in Kenosha County is a key to our continued success. Today members of our team supported and attended the Kenosha YMCA annual meeting at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
PATIENT ADVISORY GROUP UPDATE
On the Thursday before Thanksgiving, KCHC held our very first Patient Advisory Group. The goal was to learn directly from patient experience and bring the perspectives of our five Patient Advisors into the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care. We appreciated their willingness to share their experiences at KCHC and suggestions on how we might improve our patient services.
