SLE PTO Purchases Equipment for SLE

In the Kings District, we are fortunate for the support of the Parent Teacher Organizations who do so much for our staff and buildings.

Recently, the South Lebanon Elementary PTO provided funds to purchase benches and tables for their outdoor classroom and playground area. They have also purchased umbrellas for the benches and clipboards for students to use while learning outdoors.

Additionally, they have installed 6 more swings for the playground and hope to purchase more in the future.

A special thank you to SLE parents Evan and Jaime Greiner who researched, ordered, and put together all of the benches and tables.

KHS Art National Honor Society Adds Color to Campus

Several members of the newly formed Kings High School Art National Honor Society (NAHS) have been working on painting three fire hydrants around the KHS/KJH campus.

Adrienne Maines, Lily Ringler, and Nora Spelic painted a stained glass fire hydrant located on the edge of the high school parking lot.

Outside of the Beacon workout center, Ainsley Johnstone designed and Ellie Flinders and Emily Winner painted the monster fire hydrant.

The last fire hydrant being completed is located outside of the KJH gymnasium by Anna Lacey and Kaleigh Cooke.

KHS Art Teacher, Carrie Cooke took the idea to the Deerfield Township Fire Chief and he gave permission to paint the hydrants. She was excited to give the NAHS students the opportunity to showcase their amazing artwork in a unique and creative way. She said, "I hope that the students, parents, and visitors that come to Kings enjoy the little extra add color added to our school campus."

Kings FREE Community Art Night

Digital Flyers

In an effort to be "green," the District does not send paper flyers home. We use a platform called Peachjar that houses flyers of community programs and resources.

Parents receive approved flyers via email, and they are posted on our digital flyerboard for easy retrieval. Any organization can distribute information to our community by creating an account!
