We are excited to welcome our students and staff back after Summer Break!

In less than two weeks we will be back together in our buildings. Next week, some back-to-school events begin. See below for all the back-to-school events on one page!

Remember, we will be doing a staggered start plan. See below for more information on that. Also, remember that school start and end times have changed for this school year.

At this time, we ask all parents and students to log in to FinalForms to complete and sign all required forms for the upcoming school year. 

The Kings School District maintains contact information for each student we serve through a system called FinalForms. It is important that the information within that system is updated annually before the start of the school year.

Please carefully review your information and update if necessary and don't forget to sign all forms.

Bus routes have been published! Please remember to check your student's route the day before school just in case the time may have changed.

Please be sure that your Finalforms account is up-to-date with the correct address for your student. If you have an address change, please confirm with Transportation to reduce any confusion at the bus stop.

We welcomed twenty-nine new teachers this week as they participated in a two-day orientation. They learned a lot about the District and even took a school bus tour around the area.

The Kings Local School District's Food Service Department would like to announce that they have replaced Pay For It with a new upgraded program called PaySchools Central.

This program offers many new features. Parents have the ability to manage their student's pay accounts by adding lunch money to their meal accounts and for paying for instructional school fees. The program also offers a feature for families to apply for the Free and Reduced Meal program. This is a "one-stop" site for parents to take care of all their students' needs! 

Parents that have previously used the online System, PayForIt, will be able to use the same account ID and password in PaySchools Central. You will not need to create a new account. We encourage families to register for PaySchools Central and learn all the new features that it has to offer. Please visit https://payschoolscentral.com 

Additionally, new legislation signed into the Ohio Budget Bill now authorizes a Reduced Price Meal Reimbursement. The signed Ohio budget bill provides a provision that will cover the cost of the Reduced priced breakfast and lunch served to students. This means that reduced-eligible students will be served meals at NO cost.

If families are in need of assistance with meals we encourage them to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application by visiting https://payschoolscentral.com. If you are in need of an application, copies of the Meal Application can be picked up at the front office of your child’s school. You can also obtain a copy from the Kings Local School District’s website.

If you need assistance, parents will have direct access to a Help Hotline at 1-877-393-6628, where language services will be available for our ESL families.

Our Kings Spiritwear Committee is hosting a Districtwide Back-to-School t-shirt sale!

The new design will be available at our school building's back-to-school events. There are limited quantities available. It's a perfect shirt for showing your Kings spirit!

If you miss your chance, you can always visit the Kings Online Spiritwear Store provided by our partner ROKKITWEAR. All items will be printed and sent out within 5 business days! You can also personalize any item in the store!

Board Members

The Board of Education meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for a Work Session at 5:30 p.m. and the 3rd Tuesday of every month for a Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m.

The next Board of Education Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The Board's Regular Meeting for August has changed to Monday, August 28, 2023.

All meetings are live-streamed on the Kings Youtube channel.

In an effort to be "green," the District does not send paper flyers home. We use a platform called Peachjar that houses flyers of community programs and resources. 

Parents receive approved flyers via email, and they are posted on our digital flyerboard for easy retrieval. Any organization can distribute information to our community by creating an account!
