KHS Senior Day of Service

Back in September of 2010, the Kings High School Class of 2011 created the Community Service Club and participated in their first day of service. Our KHS Class of 2023 represented the Kings District well on Monday, September 11, as they participated in the National Day of Service.

The entire KHS senior class spent their school day volunteering with KHS teacher chaperones around the Kings Community and the greater Cincinnati area, such as Kings school buildings, Matthew 25 MinistriesNew Life Furniture BankSPCA Cincinnati, Cincinnati Nature Center, Testerman Park, Mounts Park, In Return, 4 Paws For AbilityGorman Heritage FarmCarter Park, Stepping Stones, and more.

Thank you to the Kings High School Community Service advisers, Tracy Goldie and Lynn Brant, and the KHS seniors for their service.

KHS Students Participate in Warren County 9/11 Ceremony

Kings High School Juniors, Sarvinoz Inamjanova and Natalia Brignoni-Marcano participated in Warren County's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, September 11.

Both students wrote essays or poems as an optional assignment in their Government class with Lisa King. Their writings were chosen to be featured in the program.

Sarvinoz was chosen to read her beautiful original poem about September 11. She received high praise from those present for her thoughtfulness, writing skills, and confidence as a public speaker. Her English as a Second Language teacher, Rhonda Allen-Harman said that she was really proud of Sarnivos. She noted, "To write such a beautiful poem as the one she wrote in one's second language is quite an accomplishment."

Allen-Harman said, "Both girls represented KHS impeccably and truly made me proud!"

KHS Student Honored at Reds Game

If you were at the Cincinnati Red Baseball game last Sunday, you saw our own Kings High School Senior, Mia Mcfaline who was honored at the game for suicide prevention and for being a 988 Initiative Ambassador. Keep up the great work, Mia!

KHSings Homecoming Parade and Events

The students at J.F. Burns Elementary School have been enjoying the renovated playground thanks to Kings High School Senior, Max Westermeyer.

To earn his Eagle Scout ranking, Max chose to give back to the elementary school he attended. He repainted the blacktop play stations and made improvements to the areas by adding capitals to the map of the U.S.A., a workable running track, and Kings Spirit for the basketball court.

Thank you for giving back, Max!

National Leader in Education Innovation to Speak at Kings

The Kings District is excited to host Dr. Bill Daggett on Thursday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Kings High School to present - The Future of Education - Preparing Students For Their Future, Not Our Past. Learn how A.I. and emerging technologies impact the skills, knowledge, and attributes students need to succeed in the changing workplace and society.

For over 30 years, Dr. Daggett has crisscrossed the nation and the industrialized world to lead school reform efforts to effectively prepare students for their future. He is recognized worldwide for his proven ability to move pre-K-12 education systems towards more rigorous and relevant skills and knowledge for all students.

His message aligns with the District's Power 5 Future Skills Strategy and Action Plan that provides our Kings students with all the tools to navigate an ever-changing world and to be highly competitive and prepared for success beyond the walls of our school district. Those skills are critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and career, college, and life readiness.

This session is free to the community and sponsored by High Aims. We hope you'll join us!
