Preschool and KHS Collaborate on Mural
|
|
Last Spring the students at Kings Kids Childcare and Preschool started collecting plastic caps of all colors for a rainbow bottle cap mural. They sorted them by color and then washed them.
The preschool collaborated with Carrie Cooke, Kings High School art teacher, and she advised the preschool on what materials they would need to put the mural together. She also painted the background of the mural.
At the beginning of this school year, the students began gluing the caps onto the painted board, matching the cap colors to the paint color, and creating a beautiful rainbow of up cycled caps!
Kings Preschool Assistant,
Cindy Mizener
said, "Thanks to all the kids, teachers, and parents who collaborated on this project. It's fun to work together to make something good!"
