Kings is Back on the Ballot
Our District school buildings are busting at the seams due to increased enrollment. Did you know that over 600 students have enrolled in the last five years? Our current enrollment is 4,647 and projections predict that we will gain anywhere between 500-700 new students by 2023.

Currently, there are no available classrooms at Kings High School, Kings Junior High School, Columbia Intermediate and J.F. Burns Elementary School. Kings Mills Elementary has two available classrooms and South Lebanon Elementary is down to one available classroom.

The Kings Master Facilities Plan addresses the growth by suggesting additions and renovations of some of our buildings. To fund the Master Plan, a 4.7 mill bond issue is on the March 17, 2020 ballot. The issue is for $89,975,000 and will cost the taxpayer approximately $13.75 per every $100,000 of true property value. To understand how much the district’s 4.7-mill bond levy might cost your household, you will need to know your home’s  true  value as determined by your county auditor. Visit the  Warren County Auditor’s page . You can find information on your property by name or address.

See the example below on how to calculate what the bond will cost you if the issue passes. For more information about the Facilities Master Plan and the 2020 bond visit www.kingsfacilities.org .
College Credit Plus
Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program can help eligible students earn college and high school credit at the same time by taking college courses from Ohio colleges/universities. More information on the program is available on February 11 from 6-8 PM at the Princeton Administrative Center located at 3900 Cottingham Drive in Sharonville. At this event, several local colleges will present their offerings and a Kings representative will be on hand to answer your questions. We will also offer more information on College Credit Plus during the KHS Academic Fair on February 13 beginning at 6 PM.
