Social-Emotional Health Update
An update from Kings Social Emotional Health Coordinator, Kim Sellers

We are thrilled to have expanded our therapy team this year. We have a Beech Acres school-based therapist in every building this year, two Team Leads, a Family Peer Support Specialist, as well as a Therapeutic Service Provider.

Although mental health concerns have been on the rise for some time now, the last two years with the pandemic has exacerbated the need for more mental health support for our students. We are beyond grateful for this wonderful partnership with Beech Acres!

The message of empathy and hope encourages people to actively care for themselves and for their peers, whether by reaching out for help, encouraging a friend or family member to seek help or by reducing stigma.
