Celebrating National Principals Month
It's National Principals Month! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our Kings Principals for their dedication and commitment to our students, especially since the pandemic hit us!
Principals are important leaders within our school communities who consider the well-being of our students, teachers, and families alike.
Often principals are the least recognized in the profession. We want to honor and recognize Doug Leist - KHS Principal, Eric Dunn - KJH Principal, Shelley Detmer-Bogaert - CIS Principal, Cheryl Montag - JFB Principal, Shawn Rosekrans - KME Principal, Belinda Atkins - SLE Principal, and Mary Beth Fosse - Kings Preschool Principal.
Thank you for your hard work and for all you do for students, staff, and our community!

FREE Kings Community Art Night
The Kings Art Program hosted a Community Art Night on Wednesday, October 20. The FREE event gave adults, young children, and families an opportunity to enjoy the activity of creating ornaments for a hanging installation at the Kings school buildings. Participants also created cards to thank our Troops for their service and dedication. Those cards will be sent directly to soldiers along with the candy that is collected from the J.F. Burns Candy for the Troops Drive.
A staff member at J. F. Burns Elementary School painted a special ornament for the Dreaming tree that is located in between Kings High School and Kings Junior High School in memory of Kings High School teacher, Jorge Gonzalez.

10-Digit Dialing Begins This Weekend
Beginning Sunday, all local phone calls will require an area code. The mandatory change by the Federal Communications Commission was necessary because a new three-digit number, 988, was adopted to reach the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline nationwide.
Please note, callers can still just dial three digits to reach 911 emergency services.
