Bethel Park Falls This Weekend!
Kings High School Theatre opened their 2020-2021 season last night with the show, "Bethel Park Falls."
The residents of the small town of Bethel are facing a crisis: their beloved park has been sold out from under them; now, the stresses, heartbreak, and loss that previously hovered beneath the surface are emerging, threatening to overwhelm them. Their only salvation is in their connection with the park itself and their connection to each other.
The show will take place in the Kings High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on November 19, & 20. There will also be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on November 20.
You can purchase tickets at www.kingstheatre.net. Adults are $10 and students, children, and senior citizens are $8.

CommuKnighty Conversations with the Supe
We are looking for individuals to “host” a CommuKnighty Connection that may take place in the coming weeks. As a host, you would provide the location, invite 12-15 of your friends and neighbors, and set aside approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Mr. Sears will facilitate the conversation.
These conversations are intended to provide a lens into the future vision of Kings Local Schools, as well as an opportunity for feedback that will be utilized as we move forward.
These connections are an opportunity to engage personally with the superintendent in a positive, collaborative discussion about the future of Kings.

SLE Supports Candy for the Troops
The students and families from South Lebanon Elementary School collected 318 pounds of candy for the troops. The USO of Southern and Central Ohio will use the candy in the USO Lounge located in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).
The Lounges provide a place for military, retirees, and their family members to access the internet, watch television or just relax and enjoy a snack. Kathy Williams, USO Center Operations Supervisor said, "There's no question that these men and women appreciate the snacks and other amenities that are provided in the lounges."
Way to go, SLE!

Social and Emotional Update
Kings Social and Emotional Health Coordinator, Kim Sellers alerts parents about a new show on Netflix.
Hello Kings Parents and Caregivers,
If you have tuned into Netflix lately, you are likely to notice under "Trending Now" the show, Squid Game. In fact, it is Number 1 on the streaming service. Squid Game is a show that is similar in theme and concept of the show Survivor. However, on a much higher level that includes gore and explicit content. Our young people are being flooded with memes, clips, and other discussions about the show on social media.

Substitute Teachers Needed
The Kings School District is in great need of substitute teachers and aides. The District uses the Southwest Ohio Council of Governments (SWO-COG) to secure our substitute teachers.
As of November 1, the SWO-COG is now hiring non-bachelor substitutes. An applicant must provide a high school diploma; a GED certificate; or transcripts of the college courses you have already completed and complete a successful background check or have a BCI/FBI in the last year.
Substitute teaching is a great way to earn extra money and choose your own schedule. If you are interested in subbing in the Kings District please contact Assistant Superintendent, Timothy J. Spinner at tspinner@kingslocal.net.
