Growing in Enrollment, Growing in Diversity!
As we continue to grow in enrollment, we are also becoming a more diverse community! In fact, the District utilized Telugu/Hindi, Spanish, and Russian interpreters at this year's English as a Second Language screening. We screened nearly 100 children with 22 different languages!

We celebrate all diversity we have in the District. Diversity is about seeing each other as equals, but accepting each other’s differences. We are committed to being intentional in how to bring out the best in each other. By celebrating our global community, we all will grow as we learn from and with our students and families.
KME Donates to The Crayon Initiative
Last school year, Kings Mills Elementary students collected and sorted 150 pounds of crayons for The Crayon Initiative. This summer KME Art teacher, Katie Heagen donated this large collection to A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts Supply store. A.C. Moore takes care of the shipping to The Crayon Initiative and donates an additional $1 for each pound collected.

The crayons collected will be used to make new crayons for children in hospitals across the country, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Thank you to the Kings Mills Elementary families and teachers who made this donation a possibility!  #KINGSSTRONG
