Need Help Filling Out FinalForms?
|
|
Get some help completing your FinalForms and have some pizza, too!
Joshua's Place is hosting a FinalForms/Pizza Night on Monday, August 5 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the South Lebanon Community Center.
As you know, the Kings School District is making changes district wide with our back-to- school forms. All schools in the District (except Preschool) will be using a system called FinalForms. This system will allow you to complete registration forms online. You should have received an email from FinalForms to activate your account.*Free and reduced lunch forms will be available, too.
Please join the folks at Joshua's Place if you have questions regarding this process. There will have teachers, staff, and numerous computers available during this time to help get your student registered. And, the best part, stay for pizza once you have finished your forms.
Thank you to Joshua's Place for their community service and for being such a great community partner! #KINGSSTRONG

Fifteen Kings High School students had the opportunity to visit Peru this June.
The trip, led and organized by KHS Spanish Teacher, Valerie Eldridge, with KHS English Teacher, Jonathan Bitzer participating as a chaperone, was an unforgettable series of adventures.
The students had opportunities to explore new cultures, practice their Spanish speaking skills, and broaden their worldview. They toured the many cathedrals, monasteries, and catacombs of the country, as well as the spiraling architecture at Moray, breathtaking walls at Sacsayhuamán, the Maras Salt Mines, and Machu Picchu. Ms. Eldridge said, "I feel so blessed and lucky to have had this amazing experience with my awesome students. The world truly is a classroom and we were all so lucky and fortunate to take this little 'field trip.'"
In addition, the students had a number of opportunities to connect with the culture through food such as alpaca meat, ceviche, and local trout. Somewhat less popular was
cuy
, a local delicacy that everyone tried. While the
cuy
was well seasoned and expertly prepared, no one could forget that
cuy
is the local word for guinea pig. Mr. Bitzer said, "While we appreciated the experience, eating our childhood pets was a little disconcerting for some in the group!"
Most importantly, though, Mr. Bitzer noted that the students on the trip represented Kings in the most #KingsStrong way. He said, "Every single one of the students on the trip has been, at every opportunity, generous, respectful, and kind. A number of the guides have mentioned to me how the Kings students are one of the best groups they have seen. Parents and teachers of these students should be very proud of how they have conducted themselves over the past several days."
