After a two year COVID break, the Middlebury Indoor Tennis (MIT) club championships are back! Members are invited to participate in the singles competition on March 4-6 and mixed doubles competition on March 11-13. Winners' names will be engraved on the MIT Cup! Looking for social tennis instead? Two social round robins will be organized on March 5 and 12!
Rising costs have necessitated some adjustments to MIT's current rates. While we have had to make the difficult decision to raise non-member fees, we are committed to keeping our member fees unchanged. In addition, we are pleased to offer a new youth monthly membership option for just $30 that will make youth tennis more affordable for our youngest players.
Our three courts have just been washed! Please help us keep them clean and enjoyable for all to play on by bringing a clean pair of shoes to the club. No street shoes will be permitted on the courts.
MIT's COVID policies remain in place: all entering the facility must be vaccinated and masks are required when moving through common areas. Youth group sessions are required to mask in a manner consistent with public school policies.
WANTED: Tennis Shoes!
Have old tennis shoes that still have some life left in them? Donate them to MIT's Shoe Corner. Here they can be available to a player who might have forgotten their shoes. All sizes, colors, and styles welcome - for both children and adults!
Tennis Balls or Cabbages?
With St. Patrick's Day around the corner, you might want to find something different to do with cabbage this year. Try this sweet and sour cabbage recipe and don't skip the dill dumplings - they make this cabbage entree truly remarkable!
