Anytime Fitness Opening

Owners Lyn and Megan Kenley celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Anytime Fitness St. Francisville this past Saturday, February 29. Megan says, "It was our dream coming to reality!" Megan says their journey as a couple to be AF owners began with Lyn's work.
"He had to travel through St. Francisville a lot on the way to Opelousas and other job projects. Eventually, he was asked to work with his business, Volkert, on the WF Parish School Boards newest school project."
Megan said she and her husband knew they wanted to work together and both enjoy fitness so they started investigating what areas were missing an Anytime Fitness.
"We researched small towns that did not currently have an Anytime Fitness and St. Francisville was a great fit for us! In 2018, we purchased the franchise rights and began working toward our goal," said Kenley
"St. Francisville has been fantastic and so welcoming! We wanted a gym where members would have a sense of community. We have that here.," said Kenley. "We also wanted to work with local businesses so we are especially thankful for the assistance of local businesses - Bank of St. Francisville and Maginnis Construction Company."

As a resident of West Feliciana Parish, Conrad McVea Green is starting a new journey as a realtor with Landry Team Real Estate.
Currently Conrad owns and runs MyPhoneMd in Spring Creek Shopping Center and serves as a local firefighter. His business, MyPhoneMd, services cell phones, repairs computers and stocks cellphone accessories.
Whether it is through technology assistance or emergency services, Conrad has a passion for serving the residents of West Feliciana Parish. Conrad's family first came to West Feliciana 200 years ago when his great grandfather John McVea arrived from Ireland and opened a general store in Bayou Sara. Conrad too has chosen St. Francisville to set roots with his family. As a small business owner for over a decade, Conrad has the knowledge, grit, and determination needed for success and will bring these tools into the world of real estate to better serve his community.

The West Feliciana Parish Tourist Commission recently announced the appointment of David Floyd as it's new director.
David previously served as director of Rural Life Museum, and has had a lifelong interest in history and preservation . David is excited to serve as West Feliciana’s New Tourism Director. Welcome David!
The Commission also recently honored Laurie Walsh for her 10 years of service to the parish as director from 2010-2019.
Thank you Laurie for all you've done!
