SIDNEY'S HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE


We’re open late - let’s celebrate! Experience unique shopping at your favourite downtown Sidney shops. The Sidney Holiday Open House launches the holiday season with activities, shopping, eats and treats, and more. There will be FREE horse-drawn carriage rides and live music. Friday, December 1, 2023, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

SIDNEY LIGHTED WINDOW TOUR


Every Sidney business is invited and encouraged to participate in Sidney's lighted window contest, which will focus on creative lighting and sparkle! Brightly lit windows add so much to the already exceptional ambiance of our Town. All you need is a window and your holiday creativity!

DOWNTOWN SIDNEY ELF ON THE SHELF

SCAVENGER HUNT


The Elf on the Shelf® is a magical Christmas tradition recognized in households around the world. This year some of these magical scout elves will be sent from the North Pole by Santa and will land in Sidney by the Sea to be adopted by more than two dozen downtown Sidney businesses. Families are invited to explore downtown and find where these little scout elves have landed for a fun-filled holiday scavenger hunt.

ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY FEATURES FOR DOWNTOWN SIDNEY



  • Festive Brass Band Ensemble (as seen at The Butchart Gardens) will be playing live on Saturdays from December 2 to December 23.


  • Horse Drawn Carriage Tours Saturdays and Sundays from December 2 to December 24.


  • Festive Holiday Displays throughout Downtown Sidney. Visitors and residents can expect a dazzling display of holiday-themed features around Town.


  • Festive Concerts at the Mary Winspear Centre. There will be something for everyone at Sidney's event hub this Holiday Season with safety measures in place. More details to come!


  • Community Christmas Tree Pick up your locally produced wood ornaments from participating locations for decoration and inclusion on the Sidney Community Christmas Tree located at 2493 Beacon Avenue (next to Sabhai Thai and Barbara's Boutique).
