How would that impact your confidence with children and parents? Confidence in yourself as a therapist? Belief that you are doing amazing work and the power of nondirective play therapy as an effective modality to heal children? And what if a deeper understanding of play themes was the key to unlocking your confidence as a therapist?

Objectives:



  • Describe the 5 factors in a child’s play that could indicate a play theme.
  • List Benedicts 8 main play theme categories.
  • Identify 5 frameworks for identifying and interpreting play themes. 



Presenter: Ann Meehan, MS, LPCC, RPT-S™

Ann has a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor™ (RPT-S™). She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA, trained in Love and Logic Parenting, and Choice Theory. Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT) therapist and uses a sand tray in her work with young people and their families.

Cancellation Policy:


Written notification of cancellation must be received in our office at least 10 business days prior to a training for a refund. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. There will be no refund for cancellation notification less than 10 business days.

CBPS reserves the right to cancel a training due to inclement weather or insufficient enrollment. In the event of such cancellation, you will receive a full refund. 

Cancelling your Zoom meeting registration does not constitute cancellation of your CBPS session registration. Please refer to our cancellation policy in the training announcement, which supersedes all other mentions of options to cancel your registration.
