Each year, NJAGC presents Distinguished Student Awards to inspire gifted students to reach their full potential, highlight students with exceptional abilities, and to draw attention to the educational needs of New Jersey’s gifted students. 

Awards Categories

The awards were developed to recognize students with exceptional ability and achievements in the areas of Academics, Leadership,

and/or Visual, Literary, or the Performing Arts.

Grade-Level Categories

Nominations will be evaluated within the primary (K-2), elementary (3-5),

middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12) grade level categories

Virtual Awards Ceremony in Spring 2024.

Creation of introductory videos for each of the winners, to be shown at the virtual ceremony.

Slideshow or video honoring the winners at the

2024 NJAGC Annual Conference.

Engraved Awards Trophy.

$50 Award for each winner.

NJAGC publicity through our website, announcements, social media, and publications, including Promise Newsletter.

Development of a publicity announcement for news organizations.

This award is open to all students, regardless of whether or not their parents/guardians are members of NJAGC. You do not have to be an NJAGC member to submit a nomination.



The deadline for nominations is 11:59 PM on December 15, 2023.
