Hello Visitation Families!

While Margie is away I’ll be taking the lead on the weekly newsletters. Also, take note that PTO meetings are open to all school families and the next one is scheduled for November 19th at 7:00 pm.

Veterans Day Assembly

Student Learning

On October 15, Visitation students were invited to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new research center at the Seattle Children’s Hospital. In addition, our students engaged in authentic science experiments by completing an immunotherapy test in the research center’s new science lab. Visitation was the only school invited to participate in this event which speaks to the outstanding opportunity it is to be a part of a diverse, Catholic, STEM school. King 5 news was there to record the event and Visitation was on the evening news! See the following link to view our school in the news.

HALLOWEEN ASSEMBLY

Student Council will be hosting our Halloween Assembly on October 31 ^st in the Upper Hall from 10:45 – 11:45am. We are hearing rumors that some exciting events might be happening!! Parents and guardians are welcome to attend this fun assembly!!

Dia de los Muertos

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST

TIME:5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

WHERE: Upper and Lower Hall

(dinner available!)

Will be celebrating Dia de los Muertos on Friday, November 1 ^st .

We are still looking for candy donations and a few more volunteers spots are open.

CHANGE of Mass Day

There will be no All School Mass on Thursday, October 31 (Halloween), but we will be having our All School Mass on Friday, November 1 ^st at 9 am. This is a Holy Day of Obligation and parents/guardians are always welcome to attend Mass with us!

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY

Calling all current and former members of the US military! It would be our honor to have you attend our Veterans Day Assembly!

Please join us in the Upper Hall from 10:45-11:45 on Friday November 8th .

Please send any and all photos of family members or family friends who are currently serving or served in the US military. Please include name, rank, branch and years served.

Photos can be sent to Mrs. L-P no later than 11/6. Lardiec@visitationschool.net

FINANCIAL AID REQUESTS

The window for 2020-2021 Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant Program (TAP) applications is officially open.

There is a $29 application fee to apply for Fulcrum tuition assistance.

In addition to the application, parents must also provide supporting documentation, like tax forms and W-2’s.

One major change in the application process is that FACTS has discontinued the ability for families to fax or mail supporting documents. All documentation must be uploaded as part of the online process.

The deadline for applications to be submitted and documents to be uploaded into FACTS is Friday, November 22, 2019.

Any families that are presently receiving financial aid or any family that hopes to receive financial aid in the future is required to complete the Fulcrum Grant & Aid application.

We are sorry to say, but if you were to not to complete the Grant & Aid application, we will not be able to honor your request for financial aid.

PTO is selling spirit T-shirts!!

There are a few on hand and another order will be put in soon. They are $20 each and range in size from 3T-XXL. This is an excellent way for our new students to participate in T-Shirt Tuesdays. Please call the office if you have any questions!
