Today, OSHA released its new federal COVID vaccine mandate.
This mandate will take effect January 4, 2022
Here's what you need to know:
- Applies to all employers with 100 or more employees
- Employers must enforce one of the two following policy options:
- Employees must be fully vaccinated, or

Employees must wear a mask at work AND submit to weekly testing
- OSHA will be actively enforcing this rule
- Employers will face fines of up to $136,532 for willful violations
