On Saturday, September 23, the Seattle Archdiocese announced the DRAFT of Parish Family Groupings. The Archdiocese would like to know what you think is good about the proposals and why, and what you think is challenging about the proposals and why.

There are two ways to give your input. The most effective way is to attend one of our Input Sessions at our parishes.

ADVOCACY

In October, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is designated as Respect Life Sunday. The USCCB Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities provides materials to help Catholics understand and value the gift of human life and help build a culture that cherishes and protects it.

The following materials are designed to be brought to life as tools in your hands. These resources may be downloaded, printed, and reproduced. View resources.

40 Days for Life

The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day prayer vigil outside an abortion facility in the community. It is a peaceful and educational presence. Those called to stand witness send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion.

STEWARDSHIP

NEW Pushpay Giving Online

Thank you for your consistent giving to our parish. We are grateful for your continued generosity and are excited to announce a new way to give. We value our parish community and want to ensure everyone knows about our new giving platform.

Along with most of the parishes in the Archdiocese of Seattle, we are moving away from Our Sunday Visitor (OSV) Online Giving and EFT services. The Archdiocese has spent over two years reviewing giving platforms and has chosen to contract with Pushpay. We strive to be good stewards of your financial gifts and believe the significantly lower processing fees offered through Pushpay will allow your gift of treasure to support our parishes' mission further. As always, security is a top priority.

We aim to complete this transition process to Pushpay by November 1, so we need your help moving your current OSV Online Giving and EFT gifts.

Online Giving (credit cards or bank account)

If you currently donate online (via OSV), please follow the instructions below to set up your recurring gift through Pushpay and cancel your donation through OSV.

EFT (bank account only)

If you currently donate through EFT (via the Parish Office), please follow the instructions below to set up your recurring gift through Pushpay. Then, email Michelle Carpenter to stop your EFT donations.

Blessing & Ribbon Cutting Event for the Renovated Sports/Soccer Court

On September 27, Saint Patrick Catholic Church and School held a Blessing and Ribbon-Cutting event for the newly renovated sports court at Saint Patrick Catholic School.

We are grateful to everyone who supported the effort to raise funds to replace the sports court turf at Saint Patrick Catholic School! We couldn't do this without you! With your help, we raised nearly $60,000 for the improvement project!

With the 2022 Boosterthon Glow Run proceeds, the Fulcrum Foundation 2022-23 School Partnership Grant, the Snyder Family Foundation Grant, and the leadership of Saint Patrick Catholic School families Chris and Sarah Blaesi, who have pursued playground improvements focused on making the Sport Court safe and functional and Alex and Jaime Harman who determine the scope of work, identify a reliable vendor and see the project to completion, the sports court now features new turf— AstroTurf Rootzone 3D3 Blend 52 which improves safety, playability, and durability, reducing torque to lower extremities with less infill spray and more consistent shock attenuation.

We are grateful for the leadership of Principal Barbara Bolaños for Christy Johnson, Development Director, who researched and wrote the grant proposals; for Felipe Uc, Facilities Manager, who oversaw the work; for Fr. David Mulholland, our Pastor, who blessed the sports court; the Blaesi family and especially the boys for cutting the ribbon and for Fulcrum Foundation Advancement Director Amy Hall and Sheila Ryan, Fulcrum Foundation Ambassador for celebrating with us!
