📰 October Highlights & What’s Ahead!

This October, our Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta family has been glowing, growing, and showing what it means to be Strong, Smart, and Bold across every program and event. From STEAM discovery days and college prep to self-defense, joyful sisterhood, and national advocacy, our girls are stepping into their power—and lifting each other as they rise.

🧪Spooky Science & Bright Futures: October STEAM Saturday at KSU

Eurekans explored wound care, forensic osteology, and college prep at October’s STEAM Saturday with KSU! Hands-on learning and a Halloween twist made this day an inspiring mix of curiosity and confidence.

💛 Pretty Empowered 2025: Strong, Smart, Bold... and Joyful

Girls Inc. joined YWCA and Ulta Beauty for a powerful day of joy, confidence, and connection at the second annual Pretty Empowered event. From STEM to sisterhood, the girls lit up the room—and each other.

🛡️ Self-Defense Saturday Empowers Girls and Guardians

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, girls and guardians came together for self-defense training, boundary-setting workshops, and affirmations of strength.

🌟 Glowing & Growing: Girls Inc. Celebrates Lights On Afterschool

Our girls celebrated Lights On Afterschool with glowing bracelets, mirror affirmations, and a shared wall of goals. A joyful evening that reminded us all: when girls support girls, everyone shines brighter.

Families Thrive: Nourishing Our Community, Together


This fall, Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta launched the Families Thrive Food Distribution Project to provide consistent access to nutritious groceries for families in our programs and the broader community. With weekly distributions supported by volunteers, this initiative is about more than food—it’s about dignity, connection, and making sure every family has what they need to thrive.

💌 Giving Tuesday Is Coming!


Mark your calendars—Giving Tuesday is just around the corner on December 3rd! This global day of generosity is your chance to invest in the strength, success, and bold futures of girls across Greater Atlanta. Stay tuned for ways to give, share, and make an impact that lasts far beyond one day.

Scholarship Opportunities for Angel Tree Families


Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta is proud to partner with Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree First Chance Network to provide scholarship support for youth who have a parent currently or previously incarcerated.


If your child qualifies, scholarships may be available to help cover the cost of the following programs:


Weekend S.T.E.A.M. Club

For girls in grades K–8, this Saturday program explores science, technology, engineering, art, and math through fun, hands-on projects that build creativity and confidence.


GLOW (Girls Leading Our World)

Designed for girls in grades 6–8, GLOW builds leadership, sisterhood, and personal development through interactive workshops and mentorship.


Summer Camps

Our full-day summer experiences offer themed weekly sessions that include enrichment activities, field trips, STEAM learning, movement, and sisterhood-building in a supportive environment.


Afterschool Programs

Available at our Marietta Center, as well as on-site at KIPP WAYS and KIPP Vision, our afterschool programs support girls in grades K–8 with academic help, enrichment activities, leadership development, and social-emotional learning.
