Oldest Zip Code in the US

As I was addressing my Christmas cards, the ZIP codes ranged quite a bit depending on the location in the US. It got me wondering...what is the oldest ZIP code in America? Turns out, Agawam, Massachusetts has the first ZIP code of 01001. Founded in 1636, Agawam sits on the western side of the Connecticut River, directly across from Springfield, Massachusetts.

Bloom Restaurant Opens

in San Juan Capistrano

Bloom Restaurant + Bar opened for dinner service on Dec. 2! At the helm is restaurateur Russ Bendel, who also owns Sapphire in Laguna Beach, Vine in San Clemente, Ironwood in Laguna Hills and Olea in Newport Beach.

He’s chosen a registered historic site, built in 1930, which served as San Juan’s original city hall. Bloom joins an array of other excellent restaurants in downtown San Juan Capistrano such as Trevor's at the Tracks, Ysidora, and Mayfield.
