Family & Community Learning: Caldwell
In March, I had the pleasure of completing another round of Family and Community Learning Workshops in Caldwell.

During these workshops, parents get a chance to personally engage their children in a variety of science activities. We provide dinner along with all of the handouts and supplies needed to complete every activity.

While the children listen to a story, we provide parents with instructions on each activity, as well as vocabulary to discuss activities and science concepts. Together, families make instruments, test how well objects bounce, and build bridges.

These workshops were provided with generous support from:
Blimpies in Nampa (Cassia St.)
Albertsons on Broadway
Garbanzo’s in Caldwell
Panera Market #4
Tin Roof Tacos in Nampa

An extra special shout out to our guest speaker Korinna Guillinta from Hewlett Packard. She was kind enough to speak to our families about her career path and her work as a scientist, and she even did some fun demonstrations on static and augmented reality.
