It's February and love is in the air! Oscar Wilde once said, “[t]o love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” These enduring words hold surprising wisdom for today’s business world.
In an era where connections are currency and confidence drives opportunity, self-love is more than a feel-good concept, it’s a strategic advantage. When you truly appreciate your own worth, you project authenticity and confidence that naturally attract others. Clients, collaborators, and peers are drawn to people who exude a sense of grounded self-assurance.
To keep our confidence at our best, we need to feel our best and I urge all of you to take a moment this month and ensure you have a solid plan of self-care. By prioritizing physical, mental, and emotional needs, such as rest, healthy boundaries, and joy, you send a message to yourself that you are worthy of care, which boosts self-esteem, reduces burnout, and strengthens self-compassion.
We all know time is fleeting and money is a scarce commodity so I'm sharing one of my favorite articles from Business Women's website that includes some of my favorite simple, affordable, self-care activities.
Spread the love this Valentine's and don't forget the love for yourself!
Warmly,
Laine Klug

Don't Take the Bait!
Please be aware that phishing scams are becoming more aggressive and elaborate. Members recently notified us that scammers are sending emails posing as Board Members to request money or information from members. These people comb business networking websites to get information and try to pose as members. RSFBPW will never solicit funds individually from members. The only fees associated with our association have a known protocol in place. Please block and report any suspicious activity right away. Thank you for helping to keep our members safe.
How to Recognize and Avoid Phishing Scams
| | | | |
If you are interested in becoming a member of our women's Rancho Santa Fe, Business and Professional Women's Association, you must attend two meetings as a visitor, then apply for membership. We have 3 members per category, and if the category is not filled, you can submit the application to one of our board members for consideration. If the category is filled, we encourage you to continue to attend our meetings and network with our members. You can apply when the position opens. Any questions about membership, Contact our VP of Membership,Tammra Graves, at tammragraves@gmail.com or 760-434-6500.
