November 19, 2020 ~ FREE RSFbpw Virtual Meeting
Dear RSFBPW Ladies and guests:
November is one of those months that I love because, for me, it represents the start of the Holidays. We prepare throughout the month of November to spend precious time with our family and friends for Thanksgiving - I love that we can get up early, watch the Parades, Dog Show, football and, of course, enjoy the chaos of having family home for the traditional dinner. We have so much to be, secret word is gratitude, thankful for and I am truly grateful to spend precious time with my small family and special friends.
It really is a great time of year to reflect on how truly blessed we are and to be able to live in America's finest city where we also enjoy the awesome weather. Last year around 55 million people travelled during the Thanksgiving weekend and while this number is expected to decrease substantially, I wish each and every one of you a safe and happy Thanksgiving, no matter whether you are planning to travel or not!

We are planning an exciting program for our November meeting, which is usually our Holiday Bazaar. In addition to the program, we will provide our members additional time during the commercials so that you can include a special mention of any products that you are selling for the Holidays. As an example, seeing that I usually sell Christmas stockings and decorations at the bazaar, I will prepare a display hamper of items that I can show off at the meeting, and everything is for sale! The idea is to remind and share with our members all the lovely products you have available in your businesses. Come prepared with your own special display of wonderful goodies you have available in your business.

Let's pack our 'on-line room' at our November 19 meeting starting at 11.45am! See you then!

Our Holiday Charity
This year our RSFBPW Holiday Charity will be North County Lifeline - Project LIFE

In 2019, Project LIFE served a total of 110 trafficking victims in San Diego. Project LIFE utilizes evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions that enable victims to overcome abuse and start on the path to physical and emotional healing. Most Project LIFE clients are referred by law enforcement, and come to the program lacking even the most basic needs, including comfortable clothing, shoes, hygiene products, food, and transportation.

The RSFBPW organization will be donating money to Project Life for 2020. If you would like to personally support this charity, you can choose to donate any of the following:

  1. Gift Cards for Lifeline’s Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program – Cards for Walmart, Target, and grocery stores to help families in need celebrate the holidays.
  2. Backpacks for Homeless Youth and Human Trafficking Victims – Clothing, blankets, hygiene items, and healthy snacks.
  3. Child and Infant Care – Basic needs such as diapers and baby hygiene items for trafficking victims who are parenting infants or small children.

If you are interested in volunteering for a position in 2021 feel free to attend our Board Meetings once we meet back in person. We would love to see you become a new Board member.

Shout-Outs and Testimonials
We may run out of time at our meetings to share our testimonials for each other's services, products, and community announcements. We encourage you to write your praise and mail an email or note to the member who you want to applaud. Send your friends a special email sharing your testimonial about the member you are highlighting. Post your Shout-Out on our RSFBPW Facebook page and on your own FB page.

We offer Shout-outs and testimonial time at the end of many of our meetings, however it depends on the time left after our speaker has concluded their presentation. We do not offer testimonial time at our November and December meetings because of the length of the program. We encourage you to pass out your information, flyers, handouts and community announcements during the open networking time which is between 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

You may also want to use your 20 second commercial time during the meeting to share your business event or announcement with the group and invite interested members to pick up a flyer with more details in the back of the room. Thanks for cheerfully working with us!
A Gentle Reminder about Spamming RSFbpw Members
Members and visitors must individually ask each member for permission to place them on any form of mass communication-email blasts, newsletter lists, U.S. Mail lists or group texts. Without each member's individual permission, we consider this type of communication to be an act of spamming. To build long-term relationships with members please write personal notes and emails first and after developing rapport, ask these members only for permission to place them on your mailing list. Thank you for your cooperation.
If you are interested in becoming a member of our women's Rancho Santa Fe, Business and Professional Women's Association, you must attend two meetings as a visitor, then apply for membership. We have 3 members per category, and if the category is not filled, you can submit the application to one of our board members for consideration. If the category is filled, we encourage you to continue to attend our meetings and network with our members. You can apply when the position opens. Any questions about membership, Contact Sarah Morgan - Director of Membership at or call 858-414-9646
