The Flag of Jerusalem - The Lion of Tribe of Judah

Outreach: The Jerusalem Flag
- The Lion of the Tribe of Judah -

Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat with the team went out to share the flag of Jerusalem with the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Revelation 5-5 -
Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

The response was supernatural. As the team prayed, Zev began to talk to many. Zev was asking people why does the flag of Jerusalem have a lion on it? Many said they often wondered why but never really received an answer.

Zev walked up to a young man named Yoni. After they introduced each other, Zev asked: "Do you know why the schools in Israel don't speak or teach about the flag of Jerusalem? Yoni said impatiently: "Maybe it's not important." Zev with love and compassion asked: "Is Jerusalem important? "Yes" he answered. Zev: "Then the lion on the flag must be very important." Yoni thought a while but challenged Zev and said: "If it's so important, why do the rabbis of Israel never speak about the lion?" Zev asked Yoni: "Where is Bethlehem?" "Near Jerusalem" replied Yoni.  Zev then opened the Word of God to Micah 5:2 -

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

After reading it, Zev explained to Yoni that it is about the Messiah being born in Bethlehem.

Yoni: "Where does it say in the Bible Messiah will be born." Zev with Yoni read Isaiah 9:6.

Isaiah 9:6 -
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Yoni was in shock. Praise the Lord. The Holy Spirit was in full control. It was the time to bring out the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Zev then opened the Bible to
Genesis 49:9  -

"Judah is a lion's whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up?"

Zev: "This is the Messiah - The Lion of the Tribe of Judah. And that's why no rabbi ever speaks about the flag of Jerusalem. It's the Messiah who is coming back soon to Jerusalem with fire in His eyes. Yoni: "Who is this Messiah?"

Zev opened the Word to P roverbs 30:4 -

"Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know!

Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat with Yoni in the Word

Yoni was silent and then said: "It cannot be". Zev: "It's true". Yeshua is the Messiah - The Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Surly you know? The Word of God is true, the flag of Jerusalem cannot be changed because God's name is written in Jerusalem."

Zev quoted Isaiah  53:6 and shared the full Gospel to Yoni.

Isaiah 53:6 -
All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

Yoni said: "I don't know what to do." Zev: "Turn to God who is Yeshua the Messiah. Don't be afraid; God loves you so much. You and I met today because of that love. I love you." Yoni: "How do I turn to the Messiah?" Zev: "Repent from your sins, turn to Him, surrender to Him and make Him your personal savior."

Yoni was scared. But it was clear he wanted the truth. Please pray for Yoni to receive salvation. He and Zev exchanged contact information.

Many heard about the lion on the flag of Jerusalem - The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, who came as The Lamb of God and He is coming back as The Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

The book, The Rabbi Who Found Messiah, is leading Jews to the Word. Praise the Lord!
