On Sunday, December 8, our Chapter gathered for a day of golf that had a meaningful contribution to the future of the Girls Golf programs. The joy of shaping a young girl's future shines brightly in my memory. I sincerely hope that our members share this sentiment, and based on your generous contributions, it is evident that you all deserve commendation for your support. As I reflect on this incredibly rewarding event, I am filled with gratitude for the dedication and spirit of our members.

Words alone may fall short of conveying the gratitude we owe to our volunteers, particularly the remarkable Holiday Committee. Embarking on my first journey with this dedicated group, I have been truly inspired by their commitment and tireless efforts to orchestrate an event of such a grand scale. Behind the scenes, countless moving parts come together in a symphony of organization and creativity to ensure that you, our valued members, enjoy a day filled with joy and lasting memories.

The event was an overwhelming success, and it is important to recognize this accomplishment. However, it is also essential to acknowledge that errors can occur during such events. Unfortunately, I made a mistake during the awards ceremony by failing to recognize the second-place winners in the team Stableford category. I take full responsibility for this lapse and have reached out to each affected team member to address the situation. I was truly touched by their understanding and graciousness. In light of this, I kindly ask everyone to join me in applauding the second-place teams, whose accomplishments deserve to be celebrated and recognized.

The success we have achieved this year can be largely attributed to the valuable suggestions provided by our members who participated in last year's event. In light of this, we are eager to gather your insights once again as we prepare for our upcoming major event. We kindly invite you to take a few moments to complete our survey, as your feedback is instrumental in shaping future initiatives and ensuring that we meet the needs and expectations of our membership.

Making the Grade

The pre-tournament putting contest was not just a competition but a delightful blend of fun and learning that resonated with the kids and our members.

Young participants embraced the challenge, honing their skills in reading the greens while sharing in the camaraderie of the event. Their enthusiasm was infectious as they assisted our members in navigating to the next grade, all in pursuit of the coveted grand prize—a stunning new Odyssey Putter, generously donated by Joe Gorman from PGA Superstore.

In a moment brimming with anticipation, Annie Gill clutched her distinctive green ticket, her hopes soaring as she believed she was part of an exciting contest. Yet, as the results unfolded, it became clear that fate had other plans, and her ticket did not bear the mark of victory. Instead, the spotlight shone brightly on Nancy Board and Susan Geers, who emerged as the fortunate winners in this thrilling event.

Let me tell you about Angie Niehoff and Linda Raybon. Friends and Golfers, these amazing ladies have been rocking the scene for a whopping 35 years, and for the last 30, they have been the heart and soul of the Palm Beach County Chapter! Can you even imagine the treasure trove of stories they have got tucked away? And don’t even get me started on that Eggnog that Angie's sipping – once she finishes, you know she will unleash a whirlwind of tales that’ll have everyone on the edge of their seats! Get ready for some serious laughs and maybe a few jaw-dropping moments! Congratulations, Angie and Linda, on your Milestone Anniversary.
