Sign up for Art Basel Parking Fundraiser - December 7-10
From December 7 to 10, visitors attending Art Basel will be able to park in our school parking lot for $30. This is MBSH PTSA largest fundraiser this year.
We need all parents, students, teachers and clubs to volunteer to help during any 3 hour shift on these days.
All money raised will go directly back to fulfill school grant requests from teachers, sports teams and clubs. You have to work a shift to get a grant request fulfilled! So come out, bring a friend, and help make this a huge success!
Volunteers will have a lot of fun directing cars to park and collecting money. If you are on a school sports team, wear your uniform to show your pride!
Please sign up to work during a time slot by clicking on the link below.
The MBSH PTSA would like to give a huge "Thanks" to all the families and friends who made Give Miami Day 2017 such a huge success. We raised over $11,000 and can now put that money to good use for our students. Thank you!
On December 8th, we will have our first of three money
collection days for the SHARE program. All proceeds from the SHARE collections will be used towards holiday gift cards for students nominated by their teachers.
Collections will be on Dec
ember 8th, December 12th and December 14th in first period. Bring in dollars and spare change. No donation is too small or too large. The three classes with the highest amount raised will be announced at the SHARE program events on December 22nd.
This year the show's theme will be Star Wars! The winning classes will also receive a breakfast party in January, compliments of the PTSA. Come on and SHARE the love!

The Scuba Club had a very active month of November under the lead of Rookie Teacher of the Year Mr. Salisbury.
Twenty-eight students passed the swim test and are now eligible divers to be. Great job everybody! Now let's go diving!
On November 17, the Scuba Club partnered up with the Shark Research Team of the University of Miami to embark in a shark tagging research expedition. Four sharks were caught during the day: a Black Tip, a Nurse, a Bull Shark and even a Tiger Shark! Students helped out and learned how to catch, measure, sample and tag the sharks. See photos of the event in the Photo Gallery at the bottom of this newsletter.
