2017-2018 NEW REVISED School Calendar
As a result of Hurricane Irma, Miami-Dade County Public Schools had to cancel seven days of school last month. The School Board decided that the loss of instructional time impacted students' learning and therefore adjusted the school calendar by converting two Teacher Planning Days and three Early Release Days into regular school days. The impacted dates are:
January 19, 2018 (previously a teacher planning day);
February 15, 2018 (previously a secondary early release day);
April 19, 2018 (previously a secondary early release day);
April 20, 2018 (previously a teacher planning day); and
May 17, 2018 (previously a secondary early release day)
Please download your updated AB Calendar from here.
Miami Beach Senior High School Code is 101140 for both tests.

We are collecting
donations for children in foster care for the Holidays until December 15. We mostly need school supplies and clothes, especially sweaters and jackets. We will also be collecting toys like teddy bears. Community service hours will be given for each item (1 hour per school supply, 3 hours for each new piece of clothing, 2 hours for each piece of slightly used clothing, 1 hour for each small toy, 2 hours for medium toys.) We need 20 extra small and small kid-sized sweaters, 20 medium kid-sized sweaters, 40 large kid-sized sweaters, 50 extra-large kid-sized sweaters, and 90 XXL kid-sized sweaters. We will be collecting in rooms 226, 103 (in the office), 701, and 505.
The
Kona Ice truck will here after school on Thursday.
Jimmy Johns will be here with mini sandwiches and cookies on Friday after school.
Did you know that
World Toilet Day is Sunday, November 19? Did you know that 36% of the world's population lacks access to improved sanitation, creating a borderless public health and environmental challenge? Come to SOIL@MBSH's meeting this Wednesday, November 15, in room 246, and see how local action - like learning and 'liking' World Toilet Day - ripples outward.
Hi-Tide
Open Mic is returning for our 2nd edition show. If you missed the first one, don't let it happen again! All the fun and antics return on December 21 for our holiday edition in the Black Box Theater from 6-8 pm. Tickets will be $2 at the door, with refreshments for sale as well. Save the Dates for Art Basel Parking Fundraiser - December 7-10
From December 7 to 10, visitors attending Art Basel will be able to park in our school parking lot for $30. This is MBSH PTSA largest fundraiser this year.
We need all parents, students, teachers and clubs to volunteer to help during any 3 hour shift on these days.
All money raised will go directly back to fulfill school grant requests from teachers, sports teams and clubs. You have to work a shift to get a grant request fulfilled! So come out, bring a friend, and help make this a huge success!
Volunteers will have a lot of fun directing cars to park and collecting money. If you are on a school sports team, wear your uniform to show your pride!
Please sign up to work during a time slot by clicking on the link below.
