College Enrollment & Performance

We had a great start to the semester. Lone Star College-Houston North's headcount increased by 12.6%. Our Fallbrook campus led the way with nearly a 40% increase over the fall 2022 semester.

I am very appreciative of our hardworking employees from all areas of the college who contributed to the successful start of the semester. I am also grateful to all of our community members who allowed us to promote the colleges through their businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations. Many of our college’s achievements, from the very beginning, have been through ongoing community support.

Please note that it is not too late to register for fall courses. Registration for our second-start classes is underway. Classes begin October 25. 

In addition, we had our best year in terms of student success. A few notable student performance milestones. 

• The overall college success rates for the 2022-2023 academic year improved by 4 percentage points to 80.6%. This specific data point measures the percentage of students that earn A, B, or C’s in our courses. 

• Our fall-to-spring persistence (the percentage of students that re-enroll after the fall semester) increased by 3.9% to 74.7%.

• Our spring-to-fall persistence (the percentage of students that re-enroll after the spring semester) increased by 5% to 63.4%. 

Each of these aforementioned performance indicators (enrollment, course success, and persistence) are the highest since LSC-Houston North began in 2019.

The River Flows Foundation 

We are very fortunate to have community partners who care deeply about the well-being of our students. The River Flows Foundation recently donated 200 ties to support our campus’s clothing initiatives. Students will be able to receive these ties, for free, by simply visiting our CARE Centers. 

The River Flows Foundation, led by Derrick and Bobbie Cunningham, provides acts of kindness for the purpose of helping individuals have healthy and productive lives. From the very beginning of our campus, our students have proven that when they are supported, they are capable of amazing achievements. Therefore, I am very appreciative of community partners such as this foundation that continues to provide our students with ongoing support. 

Hispanic Heritage Month & Dia De Los Muertos



Lone Star College-Houston North will be hosting a series of activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. In addition, our community-focused event is Dia de Los Muertos at Lone Star College-Houston North Fallbrook which will be held on October 27 from 6 – 9 p.m. in the parking lot. We will have a drive-in movie for our community families to enjoy. We hope to see you there. 

National Night Out Events



We look forward to the National Night Out events each year. The date this year is October 3. Lone Star College-Houston North will be present at three of these events. Please see below.
