Sunstate Equipment Rentals reached out to us when their customer informed them that a GPS-enabled
Magnum 56kw generator had been stolen from their job Inglewood.
CPP reached out to the TRAP- North Team for assistance as the location of the unit was being closely monitored and heading toward Palmdale.
TRAP Detectives, along with local PD, approached the vehicle and unit to discover that one of the men was in the process of removing the Sunstate decals.
The driver of the vehicle was captured after a foot chase and both suspects were arrested.
It was later discovered that the truck being used to tow the generator was stolen in Los Angeles in early November and that the driver of the vehicle was on probation for similar crimes.
