CPP has confirmed the recovery of Powell Constructors’ CAT 450 Backhoe, which was stolen over the weekend from their jobsite in San Juan Capistrano.

The theft was discovered this afternoon and shortly thereafter, the unit's GPS was showing its location near the Otay Mesa border crossing. 

CPP immediately reached out to our contacts with CHP MLU (Mexico Liaison Unit) and FEAR (Foreign Export and Recovery) for assistance. 

A big shoutout to the FEAR Detective, who was able to get eyes on the equipment and successfully recover the unit!
