So What's the Difference
4-H has many opportunities for youth to participate in, but sometimes that can leave new families a little confused. Learn about the differences between Community Clubs, Project Clubs, SPIN Clubs and workshops.

There are so many invaluable resources within 4-H and Extension as a whole. Knowing the right person to reach out to can be difficult for any family, new or seasoned. Let's learn who our resources are.

Lawn & Garden
Fallen Leaves – Trash or Treasure?
Fall leaves create work for homeowners. But you don’t always need to break your back raking and bagging. There are other options. Learn how to make the best of this yearly bounty and turn it into a treasure for the landscape.
Applying fertilizer in November is akin to squirrels packing nuts away for the winter. November fertilization is converted to stored energy, just waiting for spring. See what you need to do to ensure a lush green lawn in the spring with less mowing.
Our gardening hotline (garden.help@jocogov.org) receives numerous questions about pruning shrubs and trees this time of year. Is it a good time or is it better to wait? Read more and see if you need the pruning saw now or later in the season.
Fall is a great time to plant fruit trees, but depending on your winters and soil, it may be in your best interest to wait. Which planting season is best for you?
