Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are for learners who need to develop their English skills. Whether you know a few words, or can hold a conversation, our classes will provide you with tools to interact with English speakers. You will improve your listening, reading, and writing skills to help with job advancement. Eventually, you can move into the ABE classes to get a high school diploma or one of our Specialty Classes. Currently we have waived fees for these classes.

The Adult Basic Education (ABE)/ GED® classes prepare students to take the GED® Ready Practice tests and the National GED® Exams to earn a Maryland State High School Diploma. Our instructors are using the best virtual platforms to prepare students for success! Students must pass each subject area test with a 145 or higher, the four subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science.
We offer a variety of GED® class styles and levels to best fit our student’s needs. All fees are being waived for these classes.

|
National External Diploma Program® - The NEDP® is a computer-based program that allows students to work independently on tasks to earn their Maryland State High School Diploma. These tasks measure academic and life skills, job-related awareness, and workplace skills. Students work with an advisor (assessor) to develop and complete a portfolio of 70 competencies.
NEDP® is a test-free option for students who want to work at their own pace. However, to qualify for this program, you must complete an assessment of basic skills. The fees are waived for this program. Email us for further information: [email protected]

Brain Game
Lawn mowing: If it takes a man two hours to mow a square lawn, of which each side is 100 feet long. How long will it take him to mow a square lawn whose sides are 50 feet long? He mows both lawns at the same rate.
The answer will be in the next issue!
