Training Facilitation Skills to the Next Level?

The Transit Workforce Center (TWC) invites new and experienced Transit Trainers to attend a Train-the-Trainer Level 1 class, May 4–8, in Montgomery County, MD. This week-long, highly engaging Train-the-Trainer course gives participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence for facilitating instructor-led training and engaging learners.

Course topics include:

✓ The Adult Learner

✓ The Effective Trainer

✓ Building Engaging Training and Lesson Planning

✓ Hands-on and Classroom Training

✓ Assessments and Evaluation

Participants will have the opportunity to apply their new knowledge and skills through several practice training demonstrations throughout the week.   

Train-the-Trainer Level 1

Session Details: 

Dates: Monday, May 4 - Friday, May 8, 2026

Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm. Friday will adjourn at noon. 

Course Location: Montgomery Transit Transportation Executive Office Building – 101 Monroe St. Rockville, MD 20850  

Cost: $1,650 per seat. Travel, meals, hotel, and all other costs are not included in the class fee. 

Class size is limited to 10 participants. 

Payment is due at the time of registration. Registration will close on March 30, 2026. 

Please wait to book any nonrefundable travel until your session has been confirmed. If we do not receive enough registrations, the class will be canceled and your fee will be fully refunded. 

The location of the training will take place at Montgomery County Transportation's Facility, however, TWC will facilitate the training.

Area Information: 

The Rockville Executive Office Building sits in the heart of Downtown Rockville, with walkable neighborhoods and easy access to restaurants and activities just across the street at the Square at Rockville. It’s also a short five-minute walk to the Rockville Metro Station on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's (WMATA) Red Line, providing quick access to Washington, D.C., by metro or bus.

Getting There: Rockville is easy to reach via the Washington, D.C., area airports, including Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Rockville is well served by public transportation, with direct access via WMATA’s Red Line and MARC commuter rail, making travel to and from the city convenient without a car.
