Full Armor of God Prayer Event Marks Third Year of Faith and Civic Unity in Montgomery County

What began as a grassroots effort rooted in the biblical call to “put on the full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11) has grown into a deeply respected annual tradition under the banner of the Montgomery County Republican Party.


Each year, the event draws a wide range of participants from across the county, including elected officials, community leaders, clergy, and concerned citizens, all united in prayer and purpose.

Texas GOP Announces Legislative Review Task Force & Key Dates for Rule 44 Censure Resolutions


On June 13-14, the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) convened in Austin for its Second Quarter Meeting. The SREC passed several important resolutions, including resolutions addressing Rule 44 censures.


What is a Rule 44 censure?


At the meeting, Chairman Abraham George announced that he has formed a Legislative Review Task Force to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the 89th Texas Legislature. County parties are encouraged to submit concerns and evidence to the task force for review. During this time, county parties are asked to pause all Rule 44 censure resolutions until the report is finally approved by the SREC.


August 9 - The Legislative Review Task Force will present a final report and recommendations at a special SREC meeting in Austin. Upon approval by the SREC, the report will be shared with county parties.


September 6 - Deadline for county parties to submit all Rule 44 censure resolutions to the SREC for consideration.


October 11 - The SREC will hold a special meeting in Austin to consider Rule 44 censures received from county parties across the state. All Texas Republican legislators are invited to attend these special meetings.

Resolution Asking President Trump to Withhold Endorsements Until the Censure Process Is Complete

In addition, the state party is urging President Trump to withhold his endorsement of Texas officeholders until after November 8, by which date the Rule 44 censure process would be complete and any penalties would have been imposed.

Texas GOP to Sue State Over Open Primaries, Citing Legislative Inaction


Despite bills being filed in the Texas House to close the Primary Election, not a single piece of legislation on the matter from the House or Senate reached the floor for debate.
