Applications for the first-year women cohort of Werth Innovators is now open! Current first-year women UConn students from any major are eligible to apply. Participation will lead to opportunities to develop your idea through community, skills and resources, and mentorship.


Successful 2026 spring semester participation leads to a $4k paid full time remote summer 2026 internship to execute on an idea! Eligible incoming students are encouraged to apply now. Are you interested in joining a team to represent UConn in the A4S International Case Competition, where your ideas could be seen and heard by leaders from some of the world’s largest and most influential companies? If so, please read carefully.


This year’s challenge focuses on corporate decarbonization within the broader context of a fair and just climate transition. Students will work together as action-oriented problem-solvers to apply their business skills to one of the world’s greatest challenges.


Cash Prizes:

  • CA$10,000 for the winning team
  • CA$5,000 for runners-up


To participate:

  1. Register below and email global.business@uconn.edu your interest
  2. Form a team of 3–5 interdisciplinary students (undergrad or grad). Don’t have a team? Global Business Programs will help you find one!
  3. Registration opens November 11th
  4. Registration closes January 19th
  5. Semi-finals take place virtually from February 24th–28th
  6. Final round held in Toronto, Canada in early April 2025

ON CAMPUS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Connecticut Digital Forum Needs Interns


The CT Digital Forum, held at UConn Stamford each month, is looking for interns to help support their events for the upcoming season, starting on Friday, September 26th.


Interns will assist with event logistics and will gain valuable hands-on experience in event management, media, and tech.


The roles include:

  • Door Check-in 
  • Badges Desk 
  • Social Media Manager (full-year position)
  • Event Photographer (iPhone is fine) 
  • Tech/Sound/Stage Support 

A short training session will be held prior to September 26th.

The Werth Institute's NetWerx Program cultivates essential networking and other entrepreneurial skills through a student-driven mentorship model.


Students develop the skills they need to succeed in today's work environments, through networking, communication, accountability, and opportunity recognition, regardless of career path. NetWerx helps students recognize who they are, what they know, and who they need to know to develop their entrepreneurial skills and realize their potential. Skills include networking, self-confidence, communication, accountability, and opportunity recognition.

Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE)


UConn Stamford's CASE is open to assist students with a range of services including tutoring in Biology, Computer Science & Engineering, Quantitative courses (including math, chemistry, physics, and statistics), Psychology, and Writing courses. All Located in Room 260 in the second floor of the library, the center is open for drop ins and provides free tutoring. There are also virtual options for some subjects.


Hours: Monday-Friday by drop in only, unless otherwise indicated.

TUTORING


UConn Stamford Tutoring, which houses the Writing Center and Q Course Center, is located on the second floor of the Library. Tutoring services include Writing, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science & Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Biology courses, and more. There are also virtual options for some subjects. Tutoring is free to all students. To make the most of your session, please bring your textbooks, notes, class handouts, syllabi, and assignments.
