Cursillo Re-Gathering at Chanco

Calling all Cursillistas! Come find rest, come find healing, come find peace by attending a Cursillo āRe-Gathering ā After the Pandemicā program!
We will gather in person at the Chanco Spirit Center on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 beginning at 9:00am. We will begin at 9:30 with a presentation of the Cursillo Weekend #168 Team and Introduction. We will enjoy lunch in fellowship at 12 noon (please bring your own bag lunch and drink). Following lunch, we will worship together with a Healing Service & Holy Eucharist with blessings. This program will follow all Diocesan Covid-19 practices & protocols. Whether you are a long-time-ago Cursillsta, a recent Cursillista, or are simply interested in gathering with faithful friends and learning more about Cursillo, we would love for you to join us for this time of meeting, worship, and fellowship. Thank you to all our camp staff, our campers, and their families who helped make Camp Chanco 2021 a successful year. We are pleased to share that camp was practically full this summer, though with lesser capacity due to best safety practices. Despite some necessary changes to camp programming, our campers had a fantastic time of faith, fun, and fellowship in Godās great outdoors. Missed camp this summer? Never fear ā Camp Chanco 2022 dates are set! And if you register by December 31, 2021, you will you not only secure your session of choice, but will also lock into 2021 pricing! Win-Win! Spirit Center Consecration

Our entire Chanco community is invited to join the Rt. Rev. Susan B. Haynes and the Chanco Board of Directors on October 23, 2021, for the consecration of the new Spirit Center, constructed as a part of The Campaign for Chanco. We are hosting a Welcome Lunch at 12:30 pm, followed by our Spirit Center Consecration officiated by the Rt. Rev. Susan B. Haynes at 2:30 pm. The Campaign for Chanco leadership with the Chanco Board of Directors celebrate our campaign donors for a very exclusive night: the Black Tie-Dye Campaign Celebration Dinner.
The evening of October 23, 2021, following the Spirit Center Consecration, we gather for a very special evening of food and fellowship to honor all our donors who made this campaign possible. Join us for a cocktail hour, a delicious sit-down dinner, and an entertaining program highlighting campaign successes along with the latest news of Chanco on the James' campaign, property, and programs.
Dress for a festive celebration: camp casual combined with black tie and any tie-dye apparel! Have fun with it! Limited Bed and Breakfast packages available for a fee. This event is geared to adults 21 and over. Formal invitations forthcoming.

November Weekend: November 12-14, 2021. Youth retreat for grades 6-12. Join youth from all over our diocese for a weekend retreat full of fellowship, faith, and fun! Cursillo #168: Co-Ed Weekend: April 28-May 1, 2022. Cursillo is a movement within the Episcopal Church. It is an adult retreat designed to help us grow closer to Jesus Christ. It's also a community where we're encouraged to live joyfully and serve faithfully in grace.
